We plan to bring beef back to the dinner table. There is no steak out there that compares to a Deutz Brothers steak. Shop Beef.
Beef was once one of the most popular and most consumed meats around. There has been drastic change in consumer demand and many misconceptions about beef consumption. We plan to bring beef back to the dinner table! There is no steak out there that compares to a Deutz Brothers steak! Marbling is one of our main focuses when raising our beef. Without marbling, consumers often get a tough and dry taste from the meat. No one wants that and we don’t either.
Our cattle are fed a diet consisting of corn, grass, alfalfa, and minerals. We raise our cattle for high quality delicious meat, not to put on the pounds for the cheapest. So try Deutz Brothers Beef, that’s what’s for dinner!
Our pork truly stands out from any of our competitors. Why do we stand out? Our pork has been selected for the best genetics for over 50 years on our farm. Shop Pork. Build a Pig.
Our pork truly stands out from any of our competitors. Why do we stand out? Our pork has been selected for the best genetics for over 50 years on our farm! We have combined some of the best breeds to create pork that has the right amount of fat and lean enough for a phenomenal eating experience! We raise our pigs the way pigs were meant to be raised. We use a deep bedding system, which is where straw, corn stover, or any other dry absorbent material is placed where the pigs rest and sleep.
The reason we do this is because this helps insulate the pigs from drastic temperature changes and absorbs any waste material. This also helps create a nutrient rich and stable source of manure which is used to fertilize the crops for next year’s feed. Our pigs are fed corn, soybean meal, essential oils, vitamins and minerals, and seasonal forages. Deutz Brothers pork is truly a unique product!
Our chickens are raised on pasture in little movable shelters called chicken tractors. A chicken tractor is a portable pen where the chickens are housed and moved every day to a new patch of grass. Shop Chicken.
Deutz Brothers chicken is really what started our operation. Back in 2015 when I was coming up with the idea of starting a local meats business, I started out with chickens. But our chickens are no regular chickens! Our chickens are raised on pasture in little movable shelters called chicken tractors. A chicken tractor is a portable pen where the chickens are housed and moved every day to a new patch of grass. This helps to ensure the birds are not sitting in their own waste and receive fresh grass every day.
The chickens are also fed corn, soybean meal, wheat, and seasonal forages. We don’t use any antibiotics or growth hormones on our birds! We have also started to experiment with raising chickens in the colder months. With the colder months we obviously can’t have them on grass but rather we grind forages such as alfalfa and grass hay into the feed. Doing this helps maintain that same great flavor and at the same time extend our chicken supply. Nothing beats a Deutz Brothers pasture raised chicken!
We believe that a chicken that is free to roam around in a barn or outside is a happier bird and everyone knows that a happier bird makes a better tasting egg.
Deutz Brothers Eggs are all cage free. This means that our chickens are not kept in battery cages where most eggs consumed are from. We believe that a chicken that is free to roam around in a barn or outside is a happier bird and everyone knows that a happier bird makes a better tasting egg! Our eggs are also seasonally pasture raised, meaning that during the months when grass is growing, our birds have access to the outdoors. As with our meat chicken side of the business, we grind our own feed that contains corn, soybean meal, alfalfa, vitamins, and minerals.
